Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run Hocus:

• Account information, such as your email address and a user ID, when you create an account.
• Session data, such as the focus sessions you complete, their length, and your progress over time.
• Usage and device data, such as screens viewed, features used, app version, device model, and operating system.
• Purchase information, such as your subscription status and transaction history. Payments are handled by Apple; we never see or store your card details.
• Messages you send us, such as when you join the waitlist or contact support.

• To provide, maintain, and sync your Hocus account and progress.
• To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
• To respond to your questions and send important service notices.
• To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

We rely on a small number of trusted providers that process data on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their service:

• Supabase for authentication and database hosting.
• PostHog for product analytics.
• RevenueCat and Apple for subscription management and payments.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including analytics.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We’ll respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep your data safe.

Hocus is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
